About Me

Hi! I’m Mel Rivera (He/Him, They/Them).

I began creating stories the moment I could pick up a pencil, and when I could no longer express the words in my head through writing I started teaching myself how to draw!

Now, about 10 years after my first commission at 11 years old I find myself constantly thinking about how to improve my craft and push the art world forward. I’ve forayed into areas of motion design, 2D animation, 3D modeling and animation, puppet making and fabrication, fashion design, graphic design, sound design, video editing, and zine making. I am constantly on the search for more projects, and would love to contribute to yours!
